Another “Travel to the SNFCC” took place from December 19th to the 21st, 2024.
We hosted 32 students and their accompanying teachers, members of the choir of the 5th High School of Alexandroupolis “Eleni Filippidi” at the festive SNFCC.
They were given tours of the National Library of Greece (NLG), the Greek National Opera (GNO), and Stavros Niarchos Park, and they attended the ballet performance of “Don Quixote” by Thiago Bordin, Marius Petipa / Ludwig Minkus at the Stavros Niarchos Hall, and the musical theater performance “Mataroa on the Horizon” by Nikos Kypourgos and Thodoris Abazis at the GNO’s Alternative Stage.
Most importantly, however, they had the unique experience of meeting the head of the GNO Children’s Choir, Ms. K. Pitsiakou, and attended a singing lesson with her.
We thank our partners at the NLG, the GNO, and the SNFCC for their invaluable assistance in yet another “Travel to the SNFCC”! Special thanks, however, go to the people at the GNO for their readiness and willingness to offer our young visitors the unique activity of participating in a special singing lesson. Without their help, this experience would not have been so special for the students!
