{"id":282,"date":"2016-03-16T15:57:03","date_gmt":"2016-03-16T13:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.friendsofsnfcc.org\/en\/?page_id=282"},"modified":"2017-01-30T15:29:37","modified_gmt":"2017-01-30T13:29:37","slug":"mission","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.friendsofsnfcc.org\/en\/about-us\/mission\/","title":{"rendered":"Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The aim of <strong>Friends &amp; Patrons of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (F&amp;P of the SNFCC) <\/strong>is the promotion and support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) through a network of friends, patrons, donors, sponsors and volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically,<strong> the vision of the F&amp;P of the SNFCC is:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To create an institution with <strong>international and Greek focus<\/strong>, whose aim is <strong>to help SNFCC to\u00a0be established as\u00a0one of the leading Cultural Centers in the world<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To support SNFCC to become an <strong>International Center of Competence<\/strong> for interrelated and interdisciplinary activities in the fields of <strong>arts &amp; culture,\u00a0 education<\/strong> and <strong>environment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>attract Greek and international visitors, users and students<\/strong>, especially the\u00a0younger generation, to &#8220;<strong>acquire ownership<\/strong>&#8221; of SNFCC, thus fulfilling the\u00a0goal of the donation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aim of the F&amp;P of the SNFCC\u00a0will be achieved by\u00a0initiating and supporting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Educational programs:<\/strong> scholarships, seminars, master classes and internships for highly gifted students and professionals all over the country in the fields of arts and music, education and environment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exchange of best practices and transfer of know-how:<\/strong> by supporting common projects between the three distinctive activities of SNFCC -the National Greek Opera, the National Library of Greece and the Stavros Niarchos Park- in collaboration with leading international institutions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organizing social, educational, recreational activities and events<\/strong> to enhance and promote SNFCC.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div id=\"attachment_1170\" style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1170\" class=\"wp-image-1170\" src=\"https:\/\/www.friendsofsnfcc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SNFCC-Nikos_Karanikolas-0427-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"SNFCC-Nikos_Karanikolas-0427\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.friendsofsnfcc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SNFCC-Nikos_Karanikolas-0427-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.friendsofsnfcc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SNFCC-Nikos_Karanikolas-0427-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.friendsofsnfcc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SNFCC-Nikos_Karanikolas-0427-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-1170\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">credits: SNF\/Nikos Karanikolas<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Initiating a\u00a0<strong>series <\/strong><strong>of programs-activities (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.friendsofsnfcc.org\/en\/mysnfcc\/\">mySNFCC<\/a>)<\/strong> arising, designed and developed from the open invitation of F&amp;P of the SNFCC to the general public -or alternatively to specific interest groups- to provide their personal perception of the SNFCC and how they want to experience it.
